Her classroom had a "lived in" type of vibe to it. In this age of revolutionary everything her classroom was the one place where it almost felt like you stepped back in time, even though it was still the year 2050.
Olivia was protective of her classroom and as such her specific subject. It was true that she could go on and on for hours about it but she only did that with co-workers if it seemed appropriate. She liked to get the students opinions on astrology as well.
She gently opened the door to clear out some of the dust. It was time to teach and see what came through her door this year. She made a note not to judge because while some of the students might be interested, others might simply be taking the class for kicks. Everyone had a story to tell and she wanted to know them all curiously enough.
She turned her back and lifted her hand up into the air, using a small bit of magic to have her quill float up above her head and watching it write on the dusty board as she spoke.
Astrology and Fortune Telling
She quickly grasped the quill after she got done speaking so it would not hit the ground and turned around and took her seat.
Olivia
"Good enough starting point I'd say."

Hearing the school had gotten an Astrology teacher had filled Mirai with glee, he'd litterally jumped for joy when he'd heard, very unprofessionally, though at the time he didn't much care. He’d made sure to get to the class early, however he hadn’t realized how early he was until he arrived before any of the students. Seeing the new professor at her desk, he walked over with a friendly smile.
“My name’s Mirai Kei, I’m the divination’s professor here,” he said, offering his hand to shake, “I do hope it’s alright with you if I sit in on you’re class?”
He phrased the last part like a question, trying to make it clear he would leave if not wanted. While he was standing there he noticed the writing on the blackboard and grinned.
“Love your choice of topic."

It was a difficult subject for her but not so difficult that she hated it. She thought that main reason it was so difficult was simply because while she wanted to believe in things like compatibility there were so much other things that made her thing it was all too simple to be lined under, "well it's just this and that are not compatible."
So she was going to go in here and see what the teacher had to say and maybe that would change her mind. She did not want to be closed off to something that might be spectacular.

Ame turned into the class, mirror in her hand. This was more than likely the tenth time in the last twenty minutes that she had checked her make up but still. She took a seat next to the raven claw girl and spoke.
"Damn girl, you do not need to be learning about astrology, that face needs a complete make over."
It did. She thought maybe the girl had potential but she looked like a baby, a really bad baby. Ame got it, the girl was young but that was no excuse to look like a baby.
"You look four years old, which might be okay when you are thirty but right now it's just strange."
Then she waved to the two teachers.
"Hi Mrs. Alexander and Mr. Kei."

Olivia looked up at the professor as she extended her hand into his and shook.
Olivia "Stay as long as you would like."
She never minded if people wanted to sit in. She just figured if they got bored they would leave, except for the students. They were not allowed to leave until they were dismissed. Graciously she took her hand back.
Olivia "Excuse me and thanks. What can I say I feel like fortune telling kind of teaches itself if you can pay enough attention."
She eyed @amy , upon the call of her name.
Olivia "Ms. Troupe, no mirrors in class today and no sneaking one either."

Charlotte had never been one to admit that she liked astrology. It was kind of like divination, where many people made fun of it or didn't really believe in it but Charlotte did, or at least, she really enjoyed the idea of it. It was entertaining to her and she figured that if she can cast spells using a magic wand, or charm people just because she was part veela, there wasn't much of an argument against it.
She walked through the door and scanned the room noticing that very few where actually in the classroom so far. Charlotte walked over sitting just behind a Ravenclaw and a Slytherin in time to her the Slytherin roast this poor girl about her young face. She smiled, it was the perfect opportunity for her to get some sass out. "I don't know." She spoke up while eyeing the Ravenclaw girl. "I think she's kind of cute...Sure its in a young way, but not everybody needs to try so hard." She said glancing back the the Slytherin who she had always seen checking herself in the mirror. "Charlotte Spencer, by the way." She smirked, introducing herself. "You're Amethyst, correct? I think I've seen you around." she asked the Slytherin directly.

Accord went to go speak but the teacher had and then the other girl was sort of taking up for her.
Accord: I happen to like how I look, thank you very much.
It figured a class about celestial things would be filled with a girl who thought she was nothing less of some type of goddess. Oh dear god, if only that were true. Also what kind of name was Amethyst anyway?
Accord: I mean if you want me to punch you in the face after class, I'll do it happily.

Ame turned to the girl as she snapped her mirror shut.
"Yep, the one and only."
What was the harm in giving out good advice. People had things they were great at and hers happened to be beauty. That was not her fault.
"Nice to meet you Charlotte."
Ame' sighed.
"Come on lighten up, I, just like you Accord am trying to get through the day."

Mirai smiled at that, deciding to stay and enjoy the class. As for fortune telling teaching itself, he was quite so sure but nodded all the same. Before heading toward the back of the class, he nodded at the student who'd greeted him.
"Miss Troupe," he said, in way of greeting.
Amethyst Troupe, the type of girl he'd gone out of his way to avoid in school. They had a way of tearing you apart with words the way others tore you apparent with spells. And unlike the damage done by magic, that done by words wasn't so easily repaired. Even now he tried to keep himself far away from people like her. He may project the air of a confident adult but it wasn't so long ago he'd been studying here himself.
Taking a seat in the back he couldn't help hearing the banter of the girls in front of him, however he stayed out of it. They'd do whatever they wanted to. He'd just sit back here and wait for class to start.

Queen Bee Syndrome was what she called it when females went at it. King Lion Syndrome with males. Point was she turned around and slowly gathered up the crystal balls as she heard the girls continue to bicker. She said nothing at the moment as she handed each one of them a ball gently.
Olivia "Break these and the headmaster will be the least of your worries."
Even with the assurance that she would make sure the students paid if her balls were broken she some how still said it politely. She was even nice enough to hand Mr. Kei one. She was well aware that he was not a student but since he wanted to be in the class he might as well partake.
Olivia "Fortune telling can be done in many forms. This is one of my favorites. Who can tell me why the balls are said to mist over?"
She did not know if they would know but it was an interesting question.

"You mean that's not just smoke and mirrors?"
That might have sounded like a dumb question but it was a true question. Score one for the pun on smoke as well, yes! As for mirrors well she had that covered, she made sure to note as she flipped out her hand. A small sound was heard as a digital compact appeared in her hand.
"Wow, I am even more beautiful in HD."
She said as she closed her hand, and in an essence closing the mirror.
"But seriously, it's not just smoke and mirrors?"

Mirai knew this wasn’t his class. He knew he should just be sitting in the back being quiet but when Amethyst Troupe decided to question the validity of what he’d dedicated his life too he couldn’t just sit by.
“No Miss Troupe, it is not just smoke and mirrors,” he said fixing her with a look.
His previous apprehension at being noticed by her had vanished. She was no longer a queen bee but someone who questioned the legitimacy of his practice, questioned all his efforts to learn how to control his ability. He had a distinct desire to say more, to add something like: "For instance, you will always be a grade A bitch, but it doesn’t take a seer to see that.” However, he was no longer a student but a professor, and he wasn’t going to call her out like that. It would be highly inappropriate of him to say anything of the sort to a student. Even if she’d said something like that.
He did however slid his ring off his finger, the one on which several enchantments had been place to both distract from and help close his third eye. He wasn’t exactly looking for anything in particular, but if she was questioning then he might as well open his eye and see.

Accord just shook her head. If she could muster up the strength she would have felt sorry for Ame' but the truth was the girl had brought being so dumb on herself truthfully. Instead of speaking like she wanted to, she simply looked into her ball wondering what her future held.
She knew it was a toss up and that as usual it could all go one way or another but that did not mean even if it turned out to be all bad that she was not interested in the least.

As a teacher there were certain specifics she had to follow and a certain way that she had to be but it was hard for her to remember those types of things right now.
Olivia "Ms. Troupe', please leave my classroom."
That was as nice as she was going to put it. It was not that she even minded the young lady being in her classroom so much as the fact that she did not feel like Amethyst gave a care to be in her class and that hurt. She was not a teacher because she could be, but because she enjoyed it.
Olivia "Why are you even in my class?"
Honestly it was almost like Amethyst was like the daughter she never gave birth to but adopted but still had her superficial and brat like ways.
Olivia "Besides wasting everyone's time, mine included which is far from appreciated."

Why was she in this class? What did she mean why was she in this class?
"Well, let me just say I took this class because I heard a rumor that once upon a time, you used to have a shaved head. I find it that a woman like that would be just pleased with teaching astrology. So let's color you interesting. That is why I am in this class. I take it but it's up to you to to make me want to pay attention, so do you still think I should leave?"
Probably yes but Ame' had her reasons, other reasons too, she was not going to spill in front of these people who did not deserve such answers.
