Lachlan watched James scramble free. It was an impressive display of wandless magic; most people couldn't channel their natural magic like that. Well, unless they'd been trained to like Professor Abioye. He'd be one to watch in future duels. Nevertheless, Lachlan rolled his eyes. No use letting the guy get too comfortable. "You could have just shielded that," he said. " Expelliarmus." The spell wasn't too strong. "Wasn't expecting it" He said honestly "Not a bad idea though" He says putting credit where it was due "Wrapping me up like that" He nodded his head respectively. Lachlan seemed to be a decent dueling partner he would have to hit him up another time for a practice duel.
As he heard the incantation for the disarming charm he gripped his wand tight barely feeling a pull. "Hmph" He chuckled as he slashed with his wand yelling "Stupefy" cE467Bqh

If there was one way of proving that Lachlan didn't want to lose this duel, that was the way to do it. It was one thing to use harmless spells or to forfeit or to make it perfectly clear that this duel was happening on his terms. But actually losing? That was something else entirely. "Protego." He smiled as he watched Lachland go down and put his wand in his pocket as he jogged over to him. "Hey wake up" He said smiling as he held his hand out to help him up. "Hell of a match man" He admitted.
He accepted the fact that he had narrowly won that duel, but it was still a win so he took it and decided to be a good sport. He smiled as the tower went back to normal and they were not in a regular tower. "How ya feeling" He asks laughing.DUWWrSdJ

Lachlan woke to a hand on his shoulder and a surprisingly chirpy James King telling him to wake up. "Mmm?" he said, accepting the other boy's hand. Oh right, duel. Lachlan's mind raced, trying to remember what had led to his unconsciousness. James had been throwing around some big spells before he suddenly changed tack and went with a stunning spell. And Lachlan's shield hadn't been good enough. That was embarrassing. "Uh, headache," he replied to James' enquiry. It was weird how someone previously so hostile could suddenly become so chipper just by winning. Perhaps Lachlan should lose things more often. -close- |
