call me a saint, tell me it's over I'll still love you the same. call me your favorite, call me the worst. tell me it's over I don't want you to hurt. it's all that I can say. So, I'll be on my way
It was early, like REALLY early. Most of the students hadn't even risen from their cozy little beds and Zach had been up for hours. It showed on his face, his eyes red and hair tosseled from the morning breeze. Broom hair, it's a thing, look it up. He sat at the end of one of the tables and stared into the basket of pumpkin bagels. He had been up all night thinking of the upcoming quidditch match and had spent most of the early morning hours preparing the field. The lawn looked perfect, thanks to the grounds keeper, but the freshly painted lines, polished goals and enchanted bludgers we're all his doing. This was his pre-game ritual, making sure everything was perfect! Well, and dealing with the usual craziness that is involved in making it perfect. Finally, Zach reached for one of the bagels and brought it to his mouth, gaze unbroken. He took a large bite and sat there chewing, completely zoned out into the bagel basket.
The sound of students entering the hall had brought him back from his gaze and he looked around at the other tables. Still not much activity, too early. Zach massaged between his eyes with his free hand and shoved the bagel back into his mouth for another bite. "Ow, " he winced, removing the hand from his face, he placed it on his side. "Those bloody bludgers, " he mumbled as he drew his shirt up slightly revealing the beginnings of a bruise. Next time, he would enchant those last. Maybe that way he could contain them better and not, lets say, have them go rouge on him again! Zach felt a presence behind him, he turned to the individual and nodded a quiet hello, taking another bite from his bagel.
