PERSONALITY
Rumer is a thoughtful, dream-riddled girl often distracted by her fanciful misadventures that tend to happen only in her head. As a little girl, she grew up with a very artistic father, one who showed her how magical art could be, and all the mediums that go along with it. She struggles between being a very calm and relaxed girl while still having strong ambitions and hopes for her future career. She worries the most about balancing the mixture of her two worlds, having lived within the muggle realm, as well as the wizarding world, due to her parents' separation when Rumer was only fifteen, and feeling somewhat misplaced because of that. She is quiet and intuitive, something she feels is most likely attributed to the fact that she listens far more than she speaks. Rumer had an ordinary upbringing, and she loves to hear others' stories since she has few of her own. She often uses that as her inspiration and her own creative outlet, as she loves to write fiction and aspires to be a biographical author. Her main eccentricity is her slight obsession with "bad" witches and wizards, and the crazed tales she's heard from her father about dragon tamers, wizards that live in the forest amongst the Centaurs, running free and living off the land, and others. While this is her deepest passion that somewhat contradicts her outward personality, Rumer loves moments of quiet while being surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. Having grown up with her parents as the only family she has known, Rumer has a strong need to be around people. Having grown up in such a quiet, calm household, she has developed a very relaxed, laid back demeanor, typically moving on what her parents teasingly refer to as "Rumer Time." This attitude comes the occasional late-to-appointments mistake, and she has missed the muggle bus or ignored her mother's calls to "Hurry up!" on more than one occasion. While Rumer is a relaxed young woman, she thankfully still holds the attribute of working hard.Without her passion for adventure and writing, this might not be the case. Rumer is the type of young woman to let things roll off her back. She despises conflict, and any confrontation whatsoever. When confronted with yelling, or any anger of the sort, she stands silent. Most would see this as taking it lying down, but Rumer sees it as just the opposite; she sees it as standing her ground, using the silence to simply listen to the person's concerns, whether they are valid or not. Secretly, Rumer thinks anger is a useless emotion, something that makes one red in the face and very out of breath. Rumer's keen ability to listen so well also helps with her work as an autobiographical author, as interviewing the subjects of her stories is such an important part. With her focus firmly on her passion, and her drive fully intact, she searches the world, hoping to find all the interesting characters in the Wizarding World that she can.
APPEARANCE
Caucasian, 5'4, fairly petite, which makes her not very intimidating-looking, dark brunette hair brushing just past her shoulders, hazel eyes framed by sharp, dark eyebrows. Wears well-fitted but comfortable clothing, like leggings/skinny jeans and a normal t-shirt. Always seen wearing an old, tattered jean jacket worn by her father and given to her years ago.
LIKES
Quiet, rainy days
DISLIKES
