Kamara attended Uagadou, the school of Magic in western Uganda, there she was a prodigy in transfiguration, and took quite well to the practice of wandless magic. She became a animgus at age 14, young but not unheard of at the school. The animal she takes from as is a Serval, and she enjoys taking naps and exploring in her second for which has become like a second skin.
Her life before school was easy enough. Never knowing her parents, she was left with an older woman whom she called grandmother, though they weren’t related by blood. Raised as a muggle she didn’t know about magic, until she received her dream message of recruitment. She heard stories of her parents from her grandmother, though they varied greatly, as each time she was told, it was a different story. It wasn’t until, she was eighteen that she met her mother. Returning home after graduation, she’d chosen to stay in Kenya to care for her grandmother, who had fallen ill, despite her magic, she found herself unable to save the woman. The funeral happened in the fall of 2035, and as she was left with a large inheritance of muggle money, which she used to travel.
Selling her childhood home, she explored the rest of the continent before traveling to the United States were she obtained and learned how to use a wand, as well as learning the sport of Quodpot. While she wasn’t on her school Quidditch team, she enjoyed flying and quodpot seemed the sport for her. Though she preferred spectating to participating. After traveling across the United States she made her way across South America, picking up some Spanish and French as she did so before heading to Asia, where she learned a little bit of Japanese and Chinese. From there she headed to Europe, where she had the time of her life, spending a significant amount of time in Italy and France. Her experience across cultures made her never want to stop traveling, however, she’d never learned to manager money and after the amount of traveling she had done she was running low. Because of this she was looking to work as a Transfigurations professor at Hogwarts however, just as she went to able, she found someone else had gotten the job. Because Beauxbatons wouldn’t hire her without teaching experience, and Hogwarts already had a Transfiguration’s professor, she’d pitched the idea to Murphy of her working at Hogwarts to teach the students, wandless magic, something Europeans had failed to teach for centuries.
