Personality: Selina is a seeker of instant satisfaction. She delves in
opportunities, adventures, learning experiences, adrenaline rushes,
epiphanies and anything that can reveal to her the wonderment of the
world. As such, she is less patient with things that should be simple
and evident and that don't need discussion. Her temper is easily roused,
but the after effects seldom stick. In fact, she often has to make
amends for the things she says or does when she reacts harshly.
Over the years, Selina has become less dependent on others, and doesn't enjoy when someone is too dependent on her. It has made it difficult to cultivate new friendships and maintain old ones. She isn't fond of "small talk" and most of her friends are the kind she can lose touch with for several months and pick up where they left off without hurt feelings.
As an educator, Selina has discovered her abilities as a mentor and communicator, and enjoys when her students become involved and interested in her assignments. History: Selina was born to a muggle father and a witch in the middle of a stifling winter. She definitely grew up as a daddy's girl, which made her little sister jealous, but she never cared.Their childhood was fun, simple and full of adventures, magical and mundane. After arriving at Hogwarts, Selina was promptly sorted into Ravenclaw, where she excelled in her studies and her social butterfly status. She was a popular young witch who was hated by many others who saw her have great grades, a boyfriend whenever she felt like it, and dominated the Dueling Club.
After graduation, Selina became a resource consultant for Mr. Mulpepper's Apothecary, traveling the world to search for and collect fresh ingredients to be sold in Diagon Alley. The pay was terrible but the sights were free and so were the people. When the owner fell ill, she was called back to the UK to help with the shop preparing ingredients and brewing complex potions by request. While supervising a contract with St. Mungos, she met the most intriguing wizard and wonderful Healer. Their sarcastic banter and love of muggle movies lead to an intense relationship that results in their marriage 7 months later. Though Selina still loves Gabriel, she realizes the lack of wisdom in their rushed romance. His calm and homely manner combated her energy and wanderlust. They still keep in touch, but their divorce after 2 was a knock on her confidence.
After another 2 years of traveling for Mulpepper's Selina accepted an invitation to visit Hogwarts once again, and surprised herself when she took the Potions Mistress position. She had been worried that staying in the castle would make her restless, but she discovered that the summer and winter holidays were frequent enough her her to satiate her need to travel, all while having the stability of employment, lodgings and the benefits of research.
