I have two characters to share with you:

Jasper Kim & Quentin [ app 4 reference ]
This here duder is in the same house as Quentin, but is a year below him, so who rly knows how much they see each other. But! They're pretty similar in the sense that they're, like, really smart and wanna be the best. Jasper can be competitive, but it's more so spiteful than anything, and he's well known around school for being the type of person who gets stuff done. In kind of a dirty fashion, but that's beside the point.

So, this was what I was thinking

I could easily see a frenemy situation, where it's All In Good Fun competition w/ a lil' bit of bitterness probs mostly from Jasper's side. I think Jasper would respect him in the very least, since he's a nice guy, but Jasper's also just a r00d lil' thing and loves to be petty. So this could also easily just be them Being Friends by his standards, if Quentin isn't the petty type, too, lmaooo. But to sweeten this particular pot: While Jasper isn't artistic himself, he enjoys people who are, and I could see him sitting with Quentin during his arts n crafts sessions, which could be like? rly cute

Otherwise, Jasper isn't the type to bully unless he finds the other person objectively Awful, and Quentin just Isn't Awful, so I don't see too much of an issue between these two?? Hmmm, what do you think?

Ren Kim & Quentin [ app 4 reference ]
o dang it's Jasper's older brother, whom is in the same year as Quentin but a different house wowee. Jasper and Ren are a lot a like in certain ways, only Ren is just like? Naturally good at things, EXTREMELY competitive, and is socially kind of inept unless drunk. Whether Quentin knows it or not, Ren will 4 sure see him competition. And Ren was kind of a huge shithead in their younger years, the type to purposely provoke people and start fights, and I def would have tried to start something with Quentin even if it would amount to nothing. Nowadays, he's really calm and pleasant to be around, but there could easily be some tension between the two of them. Ren still sees things as a challenge, anyway, so it's not like he'd... completely lay off lmao. Once he's in the zone he's spooky scary serious

Ultimately, Ren wouldn't see himself as having done anything wrong and would actually respect Quentin nowadays, so I like the idea of it being kinda complicated. I won't snatch up yer rival position just yet if u don't want, but B) there's my two cents

I don't know why but I want to throw Olive in as an option

Olive is by all means competitive but not in the aspect of school she's a sports nut. And school is really not her thing lol. She spends more time doing non school things (stalking her crush, watching quidditch, etc) to be bothered by school. But given that shes a student shes bound to have to do work eventually. Boo. I can see her using Quentins competitiveness to her advantage and maaaybe. I say maaaaybe puts herself between Quentin & Jasper (or Quentin and others) to edge them on to do her homework in a very coy way ala "I dont think its quite up to your level'

Perhaps she knows how to stroke his ego, perhaps she doesnt and he knows it and is often bothered by her presense lol. its up to you. But I can see her popping in his life often. As a competitive person by nature, Olive quite enjoys watching other peoples competitiveness and even if it doesnt help her in her hw I can see her purposefully igniting something just to set off a brawl

So first things: I LOVE QUENTIN. Love. Him. So. Much.

Second, I've just been MIA for months, and while its long and personal and quite boring, I'm back for the long-haul, so I just want to put it out there I promise to not be flakey (like I just was...)

Finally, I have two characters, and they both probably would get along with him:

Charlotte is a bit of a sad sap since her brother's death. Kind of a loner now, but prior years she was this bubbly, care-free little Gryffindor. Life hits hard, I guess. I don't know what we could do with these two, but they need to meet. Like now.

Maximus Kahn, is my Ravenclaw. I imagine he and Quentin would be pretty good friends, considering Max loves everyone, they're in the same house, and they could probably have some fun plots together.
