The last couple of weeks had been arduous. Completing her project without missing a step in her studies had left Davina with very little sleep. However, it had been important for Davina to appear to be going about her business without seeming distracted. She had felt the tendrils of exhaustion, but in the end she had prevailed. It was a shame that the school year would be over, and she wouldn't be able to explore her new ability during the summer holiday. In the meantime, the Slytherin was determined to learn as much as she can in her new form before she was forced practice restraint instead of magic. After finding a hidden spot behind the tree near the lake, Davina had confidently chanted the spell that transformed her into her Animagus form. Her black nose wriggled as she immediately smelled her surroundings, and marveled at her newly attained perspective. Colors, odors, sounds... they were all the same by nature, but they had new dimensions with her heightened senses. Davina spent a few minutes running as fast as she could, stretching her legs and learning the rhythm of her new form, before returning to her tree. She sense someone approaching, and she perked her ears forward to catch the pattern of the girl's movements. Her human eyes would not have been able to recognize her from so far, but her new sight was able see the details of the Ravenclaw. The vixen was suddenly very still before she slowly walked backwards, hiding behind the tree. Watching and listening. She very much wanted to use her new claws and scratch that pretty little face of hers, but she wasn't prepared to expose herself just yet. tag: Daniyah Ohme{if you plan to join, please let Dani post first }

As the year came to a close Dani was left with regrets. Many of them. In fact, it was an overwhelming amount that left the Ravenclaw sleeping poorly and snapping at even the most minuscule of transgressions. Namely it was the betrayal of her older brother Kai... but there were others, too, weren’t there? Things she had done that she wasn’t even certain where to begin to make her amends. Cadence had offered some form of advice, but she speculated a plain apology simply would not do. Too much time had passed, and with each passing day she felt the once solid support system of her family unit unraveling. The ever nearing reminder of summer left her wondering what the break would bring. Certainly, it wouldn’t be like years prior... Kai wouldn’t want anything to do with her, and she doubted her Mothers would let Llewellyn back under their roof after everything she’d said despite the onslaught of letters backpedaling tremendously. Emil would probably hate her for tearing them all apart... and her Mothers would be far too concerned with Kai to even take notice that their structure was crumbling. No, there was no easy answer, and Daniyah required a bit of introspection to attempt to salvage what little she could. Luckily the weather was nice. She supposed even during the darkest times one could find little pleasures to make it through the day. She didn’t have much else to go on, after all. So she had left her shoes somewhere along the grand steps that lead down to the grounds, to either be lost and found by another or forgotten entirely, as Daniyah was apt to do. She tread heedlessly through the grass, reveling in the sensation as the blades poked up and tickled in-between her toes. Her light step caused her black and blue robes to flare out with each bouncing movement. As she approached the waters edge she slowed, inching up to where the shoreline met the green and disrobed, revealing a simple outfit of black leggings and ratty old teeshirt that had at one time belonged to her older brother. Choosily she shifted along the lakes edge, pressing into the dirt with her barefeet until she found a spot that suited her liking and plopped down. Stretching her arms out on either side she allowed her fingertips to graze the grass gently, the sensation bringing a soft smile up onto her features. She brought her arms in, resting wrists upon her knees, crossed her legs, and assumed sukhasana, letting her eyes fall closed. Davina Jade note; I did not proof read this at all but if it doesn't make sense I'll fix it tomorrow!!

Watching Dani with a discerning gaze, Davina's fox form stood very still as the Ravenclaw seemed to be deep in thought. Hugging the edge of the lake with an undecided pace, Dani finally chose a spot to sit. Davina's ears pointed forward as she learned the distinct sound of the grass bend underneath the brunette's weight. Her head cocked to the side as Dani assumed a strange position, but it wasn't a moment longer before she recognized the yoga pose. Davina was torn between several priorities at the moment, and she watched a moment longer as she decided what was more important. On one hand, the Slytherin still needed to confront Dani's invasion of privacy. Whether it was meant to do harm or not, Davina didn't care. It had stolen Davina's thoughts from her mouth, and had almost exposed some of her private fears. On the other hand, being a fox was probably the most exciting and satisfying experience she had ever had, and she wasn't sure she wanted to ruin the few weeks she had left to enjoy it before the summer holiday started. Before she knew it, Davina's paws slowly propelled her forward from her hiding spot, walking slowly towards the Ravenclaw, her ears perked up. At least this would be part of her research, and at the same time she might be able to learn something about Dani. Daniyah Ohme

Her shoulders crawled up to her lobes and then rolled back as Dani unfurled the taut knots of her shoulders and neck. Her movements were imperfect but languid and comfortable as she attempted to shed the weight of her own accountability, even if it was only for a moment. If she could gain some clarity then perhaps her problems would seem smaller. Easier to manage. At the moment however, they were anything but that. With her eyes closed she attuned her senses to her surrounding environment, intrigued by the gentle splashing of the lakes current, the shouts heard in the distance from the quidditch pitch, the rustling of the trees in the wind and the cheerful birds that they housed and the faintest sound of movement coming closer and... Her eyes snapped open but she stopped herself from moving too suddenly, opting to instead slowly turn towards the originator of the sound. When she saw the culprit she relaxed visibly, making brief eye contact with the fox before turning back around and letting creature continue its path without disturbance. Daniyah believed in many things, and although many of her peers thought divination to be nothing more than a laugh, she tried to take what she could from all of the classes that were accessible at Hogwarts. After all, if there wasn’t some truth behind it, why would it be at Hogwarts? She thought back to her books and the interpretations of the fox, searching for deeper meaning, grasping desperately at straws. She needed to find meaning in this. She just needed some guidance! Guidance... or a trick. That was it! She turned again to the creature, this time her expression searching, but also frantic. Desperate. Lost. With none beside her, Dani had dropped her pretense. Her guard was down entirely. “I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how to fix this,” she ached out loud, wishing so badly that the animal could provide the answers she needed. But it couldn’t. It was just an animal. Her body twisted once more and her eyes rolled back into her head. “I sound ridiculous,” she verbalized her inner thoughts with a strained voice, speaking more to herself than to the animal now.
