[ outfit. | excuse me while I jump forward in technology bc it's freaking 2050 LMAO ] There was an empty classroom on the second floor, Ana once discovered, that was gutted out save for a few desks. It was very much unloved, and the door stuck and had to be really shoved to open, but it was quiet and out of the way. More importantly, it had a large cassette player in the back, curiously unattended with an elegant sound that filled the room just right. She found herself there often to practice, as her tiny player couldn't give her the same results, and she always had cassettes of her favorite music tucked away in her bag. Today was a Children of Bodom kind of day. Perhaps simply because it was the first case she pulled from her bag. As she slipped the tape in, she noticed a chip in her nail polish and sighed. She slapped the slot shut, eyes glued to her finger nails as she was tempted to peel away the black paint. Ana had such a bad habit of ripping things apart, and the damage was normally hidden underneath the color in her nails. The only way she could manage her long, pristine nails was to paint them, and then she would chip it all off and ruin her nails and then bite them to shit if she didn't quickly color them once more. She clenched her fingers into a fist, and forced herself to ignore it. For now, she would distract herself with dancing; boots tucked aside, she strapped on thin silk slippers calmly to the melodic guitar riffs behind her, as well as fingerless leather gloves to hold her sleeves in place. With that, she straightened her leg out, vertical against the windowsill beside her, giant and towering and blessing her with loads of light. It hurt a tad, but stretching was a pain as is, and she was looking to do well enough to move on to pointe work within the next year.

Kris walked through the halls of the second floor checking rooms for an empty one. Today seemed like it would be perfect to ditch Divinations. He smiled as he looked through the small windows of classroom doors scanning however he could. He smiled walking to one room looking in not seeing anyone in there. He pushed the door open frowning as it was stuck. "crap" He grumbled pushing his shoulder into it falling inside. He landed on his stomach with a thump and just laid there not seeing Ana.
"Ugh" He grumbled as he laid there not wanting to get up. He placed his hands on the ground his elbows in a right angle. He pushed himself up into a squatting position. He looked down at his pant legs wiping the dust off as he stood up. "that hurt" He grumbled. He looked around seeing Ana "Oh sorry didn't realize this room was taken."

Beneath the metal drifting from the boombox, she heard a thud and opened her eyes. She had yet to begin her terre à terre warm-up, but that was beside the point. The point was that she was interrupted even within her stretches. Normally, she'd pen the person as a perv, but she wasn't in her leotard. An annoyance would simply have to do, and her scowl made a point to drive in the fact that this person would simply have to go.
He spoke, and she paused the player.
"What?" She tilted her head in question, insisting he repeat himself.
"Oh sorry didn't realize this room was taken."
"Ah," She nodded, not very convinced, but surely rooms like this had some sort of sound proof charm. She did wonder, however, why he was looking to spend time alone in an empty classroom. But then again, there she was in slippers and loosely fitting clothes, ready to jeté across a filthy floor on her lonesome. She knew very little about Kristopher, other than he was kind of fucking weird and said stupid things sometimes (well, "stupid" wasn't the word... "Bothersome" was more like it). She tapped her nails on the table, other hand on her hip to add to the sass,
"Are you looking for a dance lesson?" She began, "Or perhaps you're here to teach me the new art of flopping on your face?" A proverbial wave of her hand, to tell him to get out or make his time useful. She had to be petty and unnecessary, of course.

He looked her up and down. "Uhm no I was trying to ditch Divinations" He said with a grin. "And trust me when it comes to dancing I'm impossible to teach." He remembered the time his uncle urged him to learn and he had stepped on the instructors toes so many times (mostly due to his refusing to where regular dance shoes instead of boots) That he broke her pinky toe and her middle toe. It wasn't a bother just a charm or two on her feet would fix them but she refused to continue teaching him all the same.
He pulled himself away from his thoughts and looked at her once more. "So what about you ditching a class to dance or just dancing?" Truthfully he was curious he very rarely saw anyone doing ballet stretches in a dirty classroom.

There was something so dreadfully... Boyish about Kristopher. Something about that "I can't learn how to dance" snarky remark. Perhaps she was simply being petty, but it was such a boy thing where they refused to turn their bodies into beautiful things. Of course, it didn't help that Ana found their bodies a bit... Tragic at times. But Kristopher was just undermining himself, she would have to take it as it was. She smiled with her lips, but not her eyes, leaving it to be a bit of a half scowl, half attempt at trying to be pleasant.
"A shame, really," She retorted blankly, "Your spindly, little legs would do well for a ballerina." A long finger pointed at his lower half, up and down, before dropping back to her side. He was shaped a bit like her brother in a way, with the proper shoulder width and slim stature. But, her brother wasn't interested in dancing, either. It was more limelight for her, anyway.
"So what about you ditching a class to dance or just dancing?"
Leaning against the windowsill, she glanced away for a moment, contemplating whether or not she cared to answer him. But... "Runes was cancelled. Professor was barfing up hairballs. You know how it goes," Ana shrugged carelessly, as she would have preferred to stick with her lesson. But free time was always a well loved rarity for her. "Divination, hm?" She gave a half chuckle, not even wasting the effort to show her disdain for the class, "Did you need an extra class to graduate? Shit choice." She glanced down at her wrist, at the time on her watch, and waved it off with a sigh. She would have rather been alone, but the weirdo could stay, granted that he didn't mind her carrying on with her business.

Lachlan knew that voice. That was Ana Gray; bitch extraordinaire. And that was saying something, a lot of girls in Slytherin were vying for the title. "Oh, Ana," he tutted from the hallway. "Lying is a mortal sin, you know." He came to the doorway of the room and saw she was talking to Carter from Ravenclaw. Not a person Lachlan knew enough about to have any interest in. "Would you really trust someone with legs like that to hold you up?" he asked. "He might collapse." "You're not missing anything in Divs, by the way," he told Kris. "New teacher's a real seer. Expects us to do actual work." I held off! But the temptation was too great.

Kris saw Lachlan walk in just as he had been insulted about his legs.He looked down as his face turned pink. Not just figuratively either. His face and skin became a bright pink and soon his hair slowly began to change. He looked at his hands and frowned. Shit" He grumbled as he soon changed from an embarrassed pink to a dark scared yellow. Only the animagi professor who taught wandless magic knew what he was. "Shit" He grumbled once more.
He looked at the two and backed up. He was scared what they'd say, there was a huge reason he kept to himself. This was it. "Shit shit shit" he felt his back hit the wall and he stared at them his eyes wide.

Suddenly, more company, and Ana let out a deep sigh. In the very least, Lachlan Strangways was more bearable than his sister at times, but he, too, often bothered her. Granted, he was excused due to his impeccable talent, something that most, if not all, of the school couldn't match. Dancing was unappreciated, and the two had developed a mutual understanding over it. But her tired eyes bore him down, unhappy with having her evening even more distracted. She might have smiled a malicious smile at his quip, as he was definitely right, but she feigned innocence with a shrug.
"Now, now, Strangways," Ana began, flicking her hair back, "No need to assert your dominance over a beginner, he could be fondling the best in due t--"
The guy had looked embarrassed before, but the pink in his cheeks only grew darker and darker. Ana paused and watched him quietly, crossing her arms and tilting her head with a rather blank expression; there was something peculiar about all this, but she didn't quite know how to feel. He looked upset, spewing expletives and backing away. What, did he eat a bad candy? Did he snap his wand? No, there was obviously something more to this, and Ana didn't exactly... Care? She didn't care in the sense that, she didn't care he was turning colors, but she was curious as to why he was freaking out so badly.
"Look what you did," She hummed, glaring over at her Slytherin peer, "You rustled him up. Turned him into a Skittle. Poor thing." Idly, she pushed herself from the wall and made her way over to him with dainty steps, her fingers up and empty, tilted like a Disney princess to show she meant no harm while showing how little she took this seriously.
"Come, come, I'll protect you from the Slutty Witch of the West," She tittered a bit then over her own condescending words, glancing over at Lachlan. Truly, this proved to be more interesting than before. And perhaps she didn't quite mind the company now, seeing as she had never experienced this kind of batshittery before.

"Look, Ana, I'm flattered, but I don't think he wants to fondle me," Lachlan shot back.
He crossed the floor, tilting his head to get a better look at the colour-changing Ravenclaw, but from a distance.
"It's proabably just a bad potion," he decided. "Or... did you get something off one of the Puffs?"
Kai said the stuff he used didn't do anything bad, but to be fair, Kai would probably think what was going on here was fucking brilliant.
Lachlan couldn't help smiling at Ana's final quip. If she loosened up a bit, she might actually be fun.
"Yeah, listen to her, she has the power of prudishness on her side."

Kris backed further into the wall. He was losing control of himself, in other words he was transforming uncontrollably. He looked at the two fearfully as he began to breath closing his eyes, Breathe Kristopher, you are a Carter you remain in control at all times. His breathes grew slower and his hair turned to one color but it wasn't natural brunette his hair was a bright blue the same as his eyes which he kept close. Keep a handle on your damn emotions he chastised himself.
He opened his eyes as his hair turned back to its auburn style. "Terribly sorry" He mumbled as he shook his head. He needed to work on control. Being a metamorphagus meant that his powers, like most magic surged from his emotions. Sadly when he lost control of them he changed violently, Sometimes colors, sometimes animals, sometime people. He looked at the two and his eyes grew wide. "shit" He mumbled again.

Ana beamed wide and toothy over at Lachlan, fake in practice but sincere in her intention. Yes, she was possibly the most prudish out of everyone, and she wouldn't change it for anything. In a way, she didn't give a shit about people like Lachlan, in the sense that she didn't care what they did with themselves. But it was absolutely gross to witness, truly. Sickly sexual sentiments, trying to be coy and all that. Ana did not experience those feelings, but she appreciated bluntness in those situations, so that she could let them down without puking in their mouth. She already experienced that willingly, and she'd like it to not happen again.
"I'm saving myself for Our Lord, Lucifer; I know what I want and it'll save this wretched soul," She joked and patted Kris awkwardly on the shoulder, trying to show she genuinely had no ill intentions. She wouldn't doubt he was on some weird wizard drug. Ana didn't dabble in that. She liked know how and why she felt like her body was trying to tear itself in two, thanks. "I've never seen this before," Serious now, pressing her thumb against her bottom lip thoughtfully.
Kris apologized and she waved it off immediately, pulling her hand from her chin and flopping it around. The two Slytherins were the last people who would judge him for his fuck ups, as they themselves were fuck ups, on the Tremendous end of the spectrum. "I have a bottle of water in my bag," She offered with a high shrug, glancing over at Lachlan for support. That tended to be what a bad trip needed, though obviously he was experiencing something so much worse. "Is this what happens when Strangways tries to be funny? People's body's just reject it as best they can?" She tried to keep it lighthearted, partially because she didn't know how to handle a situation like this. In truth, she was more interested now than before. Either he had something going on that he didn't want them knowing about, or he was as high as a kite. It would explain the crawling around dirty classrooms.

Carter seemed to be freaking out, like, a lot. More than if he'd just taken some crazy potion or even the stuff the Hufflepuffs used. Lachlan was glad it was just himself and Ana seeing this. She might be a crazy bitch but that was just cos she had issues.
"Yeah, water's probably a good idea," he agreed. "What'd you do, Kris?"
He stepped a little closer to the boy, lip clenched between his teeth, hoping not to make him any more panicked.
"Was it a spell, a potion, drugs? We can't help you if you won't say."

"No drug, I'm-" He trailed off staring at them. He was usually harshly judged about his genetic trait. "I'm a methamorphagus" He explained. He looked at the two and stood up and he began to stretch his neck and arms. He smiled as he looked at the two and walked over to Ana walking a circle around her.
In an instant his hair began to change to blonde and got longer while his face distorted until he was exactly her size shape. He was basically a mirror image of her. He smiled at her and then walked away transforming back to himself.

The two Slytherins genuinely were trying to help Kris through his weirdo drug fiend habits, but the Ravenclaw seemed to calm down the more they questioned him. But, he rose from his spot and admitted his secret: He was a metamorph. Ah. Of course the one time Ana sincerely tried to help someone, it was just their own fucking weird body attacking itself. She read very little about metamorphs, only that they did definitely just warp and change under certain circumstances. She assumed they could only turn into people-looking things, not giant strawberries.
Really showed how little this school properly taught its students. How many people like Kris were walking around, feeling like freaks? Of course, he was a freak, but that was kind of cool, wasn't it?
She stared at him, brow furrowed and lip curled. Honestly, after all that? What could she say? She thought he was OD'ing and he was just getting a freaky hard-on after his legs were commented on. Before she could speak, he circled around her and revealed himself to be an almost spitting image of Ana and her jaw dropped.
As he trotted along, he went back to his usual self. Ana felt just a tad creeped out... Did he often just turn into girls? It took her a moment before she could even look at him, expression falling bored once more. "My tits are perkier than that," She flicked her hair over her shoulder, grazing over the true reason of her disgust as per usual, "Do Lachlan now. Don't forget the unibrow he hides under his flippy hair." Her fingers wiggled over at her housemate's face. In truth, she was becoming a bit more irritated with the situation the more she realized she was embarrassed with being concerned over the guy. The best way to feel better about this was to drag everyone down, of course, even in small, trivial, petty ways.

Oh, okay. Lachlan wondered why the Ravenclaw hadn't just said in the first place. And how he'd managed to keep it a secret for so long, if this was what happened whenever he got freaked out. Or maybe it had been Lachlan's observation about his legs. Did he think he was coming on to him?
He warped into Ana and suddenly Lachlan realised just why his commentary might have disturbed the guy.
"Useful," he mused aloud.
"Is it always a full body thing, or can you... you know? Bits and pieces?" he suggested.
