He shrugged "Bits and pieces but I don't excel real well at it. I get stuck like that sometimes." He shrugged "It has its advantages but the looks you get when you do it. No one cares about it if your an animagus." This was true. No one cared if you were an animagus but a metamorphagus got looked at like a freak sometimes. This was because Metamorphagi could transform into anything. It was weird.
He looked at the two "I tend to keep to myself because I don't have full control over it all. the physical i excel the mental aspect is my problem. When I get stressed I can't control the changing" He grumbles.

Ana scoffed at Kris' musings. Of course being an animagus was different than a metamorph. Animagi had one form they could deviate to, and it was distinct and representative to who they were. Being a metamorph meant anything. They could be anyone. It was a bit messed up, potentially sneaky and insidious. But did Ana care? Hell no. If he had something that benefited him, something he had since birth, why not absolutely use it to his advantage? But by god, don't try to feign like it was as innocent as turning into an animal. "People probably think you're going to morph into them," She said, making her way back to the windowsill, "We're all vain as fuck. Plus... Nothing is more frightening to a person than identify theft." She gave him a fake laugh, just to poke fun.
He continued on about himself, and Ana listened curiously. She never met someone like him, though she wasn't sure anymore. It was very interesting, however. Has she ever met Kris under different circumstances? Or anyone else, really? She decided she'd have to look into this... And possibly stalk Kris a bit, see what the hell he even did with this gift. She stretched her other leg over the sill this time, fingers meeting her toes effortlessly and pulling them back until they cracked.
"So. This really is Strangways' fault. Fucking figures," She tittered, "My question is: How do you know your real form? Is this really you? Have you made yourself slightly more attractive over time, or does everything revert when you're not paying attention?" Ana would make herself taller, she decided. About four inches taller. And that brought a good question, possibly what Lachlan was thinking too, could he tighten his muscles, become strong enough to lift Ana's weight? Though, Lachlan was probably trying to be coy, knowing him, but she wasn't even going to think about that.

Lachlan couldn't help bursting into giggles at the thought of Kris getting "stuck like that". Oh yeah, that would be embarrassing. And hard to explain to a healer, too.
"Oh yeah, that's a shame," he managed though the laughter.
Ana went back to stretching again, and Lachlan couldn't tell if it was genuine or a display for Kristopher. Not that it mattered, because she also went back to taking digs at him.
"It's not my fault," he started to object.
"Of course he doesn't make himself more attractive! You have eyes, don't you?"

He smiled and looked at the both of them as he sat down hugging his knees. "Of course I changed my appearance" He blurted "I used getting stuck to my advantage." His hair color was completely different from what he looked like. He shook his head hard as his hair flopped around showing a heavy blue. "I don't have normal hair, Metamorphagi never do"
He smiled as he sat like that his blue hair was slightly longer branching over his eyes. He combed his fingers through it pushing it out of his face. "I hide it in order to look normal."

There was a pause in Ana's stretching as Kris showed off his blue hair. His hair was naturally blue? And he didn't absolutely love it? Her lips pulled back into a frown, deeply disappointed in his tastes, as she couldn't quite wrap her head around why someone would prefer being brunette if they could be blue. Ana herself was fond of red hair, and often wondered if she wanted to charm her silvery locks a vibrant orange. But. Her parents would kill her if they found out. And her shitty fucking roommate would probably think Ana was mimicking her, wouldn't she?
"That's fucking stupid," Ana leaned against the sill again, now stretching her shoulder with round circles, "Sorry. That's boring, I should say." She corrected herself with a sneer, trying to lay on the condescending tone, but she looked him over nonetheless, a bit envious of his ability to simply change himself and yet all he did was correct his hair color. Was he that comfortable with himself, where that was all he cared about? She realized, right after she spoke, that someone who isn't normal would probably pine to be normal. But she simply couldn't level with him.
"Of course he doesn't make himself more attractive! You have eyes, don't you?"
Ana's shoulders shot to her ears with a shrug, black fingernails curled back with disgruntlement. "I don't know," She admitted, "'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder', you pus pot. King Conceited over here. Not everyone is fond of the shit-eating pout look, you should know." Her voice was very casual, like she was poking fun in passing and not rambling or avoiding the topic of whether or not the guy was attractive. What a shallow piece of shit, though. As if Ana wasn't also shallow, but she waved him off like he was being distinctly rude. She had no opinion on either of them, truly. Kris had the baby face thing going on, and she found that a bit endearing. But attractive? No. Not really. Maybe if he was a tad more... soft? She was unsure where she was going with that thought.
"But. Okay. So, here's a better question, Carter," She began, stretching her other shoulder now, "What are you so afraid of? Why do you care what other people think so much?"

Lachlan just ignored the barrage of insults from Ana. He didn't know what her problem was, why she was so deadset against anyone else having fun even if she didn't want to have any herself, and he wasn't in the right mood to deal with her once she got going.
Besides, Carter was way less interesting now he was just ordinary looking. Yep, blue hair was pretty ordinary, if you asked Lachlan. It was one of the more popular colours of hair dye.
He found a desk up against the wall and boosted himself up so there was room to cross his legs in front. For some weird reason, Carter seemed to have decided to trust them both. Not a wise choice but there you go. And Ana's questions promised to liven up the conversation.

He looked at Ana and transformed to a tall woman with black hair and grey eyes wearing a black trench coat and the dark mark on his arm. "I've never seen my mother as far as I can remember" He/she stated in a silky voice that sounded like silk. "This is my mother her name is Moriganna Carter" He said before turning back to himself. "She has killed ninety muggles and over a hundred skilled wizards, never using a single spell or her own form."
It's true he had read everything about Moriganna Carter he wanted to be the one to find her. Not to capture just to ask one question. Why? "She can change with the snap of a finger, other dark wizards call her The Invisible, shes never been caught," He stated looking to them both ominously "but I'm going to find her" He stated.

Within seconds, Kris had transformed into a rather intense woman. Pretty with a death stare, the kind of thing that Ana was rather drawn to in women... People... Whatever. But, he went on to explain that his mother was a serial killer, a total bitch or whatever, super evil. If you couldn't tell she was evil, well she certainly made sure of it, she was so evil, guys. But Ana got it. She understood. This wasn't the exact question she meant to ask, but he answered her: He was afraid of his mother. Was he afraid that people would assume things about him because of her? Or that she would find him if people knew? Why didn't he change his name in that case?
"Okay," Ana said, her tone heavily implying that she meant to say, "I didn't fucking ask you that". But the fewer words spoken, the less likely she'd say something fucking stupid and make him upset again, or whatever. She would have to rationalize that there was a miscommunication on her part. But she didn't give a shit about his mom, or the people she killed, or the scars she left him. Harsh, but true. Her father didn't kill ninety people, but he might as well have killed Ana thousands of times, and she certainly wasn't going to admit that deep seeded fear he gave her.
But. Kris told the two of them a lot more than he probably cared to. Ana would respect his secrets, or whatever. Well... She wouldn't tell anyone. Not like Ana had anyone to tell, anyway.
"So... Your mother's death count is the reason you hide yourself?" She crossed her arms across her chest now, leaning back once more. Ana being Ana, ruby lips parted once more to bombard him with more questions, "Okay. So. How? How do you plan on finding her? Are you going to play her own game, change yourself and find her like a mastermind of disguise?" And she wasn't even trying to be condescending this time. She tapped her heel on the floor and glanced over at Lachlan,
"What do you think of all this, Strangways? Do I smell a crime fighting drama on the rise? The Bitch, The Killjoy, and The Chameleon. We'll work on the title," She smiled with a faux sweet tinge, turning back to the topic at hand, eyeing Kris dubiously.

Carter was beginning to get on his nerves, and not just because of the melodrama, either. Lachlan wouldn't have admitted it out loud, but he knew he could be melodramatic himself when the situation called for it. Or, even when it didn't. Still, his expression was grim.
"I dunno," he shrugged. "It's a pretty weird story. And why am I The Killjoy? I preferred The Slut."
He sighed.
"Look, the bit that really gets me is how come she hasn't been caught. I mean, Polyjuice isn't that hard to come by if you know where to go. Aurors probably have to deal with it all the time. And most killers have an M.O. even if they're not using their own face."
"And ninety muggles but over a hundred wizards? That's not what you'd expect. Have you ever thought maybe the reason she hasn't been caught is because not all those deaths were her?" he suggested.
He wasn't about to say none of those deaths were her. It was clearly not what the other boy wanted to hear and it wasn't like Lachlan was under the delusion that all mothers were saints.

He shook his head smiling, "I prefer the ghost" He said to Ana "The chameleon sounds like weird nineties superhero." He shrugged "The Ghost sounds like someone to be feared."
He looked at Lachlan with a look he had received from many teacher when he asked a stupid question. Of course he thought maybe she hadn't killed as many as he was told. "It doesn't matter either way." He stated "And I think you should probably be called the smartass," He mumbled trying to help lighten the mood.
He sat down and dug in his pocket grabbing hold of a small metal flask taking a drink. He held it offering it to the two. "Drown your sorrows with me?" He asked with a grin.
