She had the best idea. Of course everyone had headed off to tower two, and Caelani was no exception. Let @accord catch up in her own time.
Getting there first of course meant Caelani got to set the scene. She half wondered whether the other person would be able to affect the tower's charms, and whether that would make the duel easier or worse. It would certainly make it more interesting. But that was something to investigate in her own time, with fellow Slytherins.
For now, the room looked almost empty. Darkened, but very similar to the chamber in tower one. The duelling platform was almost exactly the same, except for the way it hovered off the ground. That was Calli's special touch. When the duel began, it would start to shrink at both ends, making sure this fight got up close and personal. Or that Accord dropped out, literally.

Accord was not the type of person who got shook very often. Not literally but figuaratively and now that she was out of the headmaster's voice range she felt a whole lot better. While she could not place her finger on it something about the guy shook her the wrong way. Either way she was off to her destination.
She walked slow and of course accordingly until she got where she needed to be. Upon entering the room she stopped but it was just for a second not really enough to be noticed. She looked down from the platform, shakily. Half of it was because she was shaking the other half of it was because the platform was hovering.
Accord: Great,
she said as she bowed. Her hair fell down across her shoulders and off and she honestly wished that she had pushed it back, better yet put it up into a ponytail. Oh well, next time.

Half of the reason Caelani had said what she had in The Murphy's pathetic duelling introduction session was because she was pureblood herself, and even if she didn't have the born to rule attitude, she still took advantage of the privileges whenever she could. Unfortunately, Murphy seemed to think bowing was actually conductive to a good duel, so Caelani was forced to go through the niceties before they could both get down to business. As the other girl took her place, Calli only walked a few paces down the platform. After all, she didn't want her own stunt to backfire. Then she spun and shot the disarming spell at Accord. Ironically, it was something she'd picked up from reading muggle books, where duels were won according to who claimed "first blood". Whereas wizards and witches could heal minor injuries, leading to duels that went on all afternoon. A disarming charm as an opener was considered a waste of energy and unsporting. But then, it wasn't like Calli was here to make friends. W1qg27d1

Dueling, well she supposed if you had friends and you dueled constantly then whomever won could possibly cause a rift in the friendship. Good thing her and Caelani did not have to worry about that. Disarming!, at least it hardly had any effect.
Since the headmaster scared her more than anyone she had to at least finish this.
Accord: Locomotor Mortis
she spoke softly with her wand aimed in the direction of Caelani.

Damn, the girl was actually halfway decent. Calli wouldn't have credited it. Strife seemed the kind of girl who was all soft words and shy smiles and probably sketching pictures of the whomping willow or something. Caelani never saw the attraction, but apparently that tree had a lot of fans. Not knowing what it was, since the other girl had whispered her incantation or something, Caelani decided her best course was dodging out the way. Who knew whether her shield would stand up to whatever it was that had just been thrown at her. E_170Sa| dice roll = dodging

Accord always knew that she needed to learn to speak up but..it was hard to do for her especially when she had siblings who were always so much more loud-mouth than she was...speaking of..well no, that's another matter for a different time.
She watched as Caelani dodged. Smart move and at this moment Accord was wondering why she even wandered into the class in the first place. None the less it was over and now they were dueling.
Accord: Don't waste my time by dodging,
she said a little loud.

((ugh, sorry I forgot)) Well, she might have been okay at spells, but Accord's strategy was happily lacking. Happily for Caelani, and whoever her other opponents might be. "Don't waste your own time," Calli retorted. Now, she'd tried the disarming charm and that hadn't worked, so perhaps it was a sign. "Flipendo," she tried instead, not bothering to hide her intentions. Perhaps she could flip the girl off the duelling platform entirely. TWRfNZv7

The more Accord thought about it, the more she realized she hated dueling especially when she was mostly flipped up in the air. One of her feet almost slid off of the platform and that was sadly when fear set in. Still thankfully she did not fall all the way off. Getting up rather hastily she spoke.
Accord: Thanks for almost flipping me off. It's honestly appreciated.
She did want to die at times but not literally.
Accord: How about we just say you won and call it a day?
(ooc: i always forget lol )

Caelani smiled. Was the girl serious, or was it some terrible attempt at misdirection?
"Oh, no," she disagreed, always one to be pedantic over these minor details. "If you forfeit, it means I did win. Nobody will be just saying anything. Now, are you forfeiting?"
Please say yes, please say yes.

Her walking into the class had been an accident but her forfeiting this fight was not.
Accord: Okay,
she said gently.
Accord: You win.
She had no idea if she should feel ashamed but the truth was that she did not.
Accord: However,
Strings and such.
Accord: You owe me a favor now. I'll be cashing it in soon in case you're wondering.

Accord tried to threaten her, and Caelani found it difficult to smile instead of sneering.
"Sure," she agreed. "Whatever you like."
Calli's first instinct had been to laugh at the idea, to take the utter piss, but no. She wanted to know what this favour was before she turned the poor thing down. Besides, it was kind of endearing to watch the Ravenclaw trying to be intimidating. Perhaps, if she continued with it, Caelani might take her under her wing.
