Sticking her nose where it doesn't belong

Post by Marian Spencer on Apr 25, 2016 9:17:54 GMT -5
Marian grinned at Dale when she saw the blush that covered his ears, but she stiffened as Dale cut himself of mid sentence and stepped closer to her. He seemed to hesitate, and she made no move to step away curious as to what he was up to. Her eyebrows rose in surprise as he pinched her nose together and instructed her to breath through her mouth. "You have a lot experience with stopping nosebleeds?" She asked him in a nasal voice, the fact that her nose was pinched shut distorting her voice. Do you secretly get in a lot of fights?"
She couldn't stop herself from teasing him, though she was grateful that he stepped up to help. While Marian was a bit of a troublemaker, she had managed to avoid getting nosebleeds. Until now at least, she thought ruefully. Ugh, her face itched as the blood began to dry, and she tried to scrunch her nose in discomfort. "You mind casting a quick Tergeo? I don't much fancy walking around looking like I've been on the losing end of a fight." She wasn't sure if she really trusted him enough to let him stick a wand in her face, but trying to cast it on herself would be an awkward endeavor. And he did help her with her nosebleed so... "Do you know it? I think a Scourgify might work too, but I really don't want to get my face full of soap."
She sighed, this afternoon had quickly turned into a disaster, and while bantering/winding up Dale had been fun her goal for the day seemed to be out of reach.

Dale glowered at Marian. The ever curious, and the ever annoying. ME? Fighting. Pft. The very thought was incredulous. Fights were for brutes who had nothing more to do with their time than pick fights since they neither had a brain nor talent. Needless to say, he had over the course of the last four years been on the receiving end of a spell.. or two.. or three. Honestly, it wasn't hard to imagine that somebody so amazingly brilliant would be the eye of envy among the student population. And that he did in fact, get into a fight before, although he'd never admit it himself. It was petty and long in the past, he didn't like to dwell on it.
"Still prying for dirt I see" he mumbled, sounding not in the least bit surprised. It was Marian after all.
He kept his fingers clamped on her nose, and like Marian, noted that the blood had begun to dry and cake on her face. When she offered a few suggestions he couldn't help but grin at the thought of her face filled with soap. "Actually" he stated rather matter of fact "The antibacterial properties in soap might work out better for you, if it were up to me I think a scourgify would be the best bet." he grinned devilishly and pulled out his wand.
"Close your eyes, wouldn't want to get soap in there now would we?" he taunted her as he raised his wand hand up to her face, he had no intention of torturing her with that just yet. But it did make him feel better to mess with her. Releasing his fingers from her nose he pointed his wand to her face, and added briskly "Tergeo", whatever blood had previously been caked on her face seemed to melt into her face as it slowly disappeared, until there was absolutely no signs that any damage had been done.
