Phoebus waiting for someone to open the library door, quickly running in before the door could close on his tiny cat form. He had a plan to bug another student, who? Anyone really he was in the mood to. Occasionally he walked the halls in said form only a few of the students knew he was an Animagus mostly the teachers and some of the people from his house. He hissed as someone passed him not having paid attention to him they'd nudged him over. He ran forward searching the rows for another student focused on their studies. As he neared one he began to climb up to a spot close to them laying down and twitching his tail.
He sneezed once, twice and finally a third time, before beginning to nudge a book gently off the shelf slowly it creeped closer and closer teetering on it teetered a few more times before falling to the floor with a thud. Phoebus' tail twitched and he innocently began to lick his tiny paw.

Almost done. History of Magic was definitely worse than Muggle History, and this evening's assignment was no exception. Sure, the Founders era was interesting, and Davina was sure she would look up that biography on Salazaar Slythering, but other than that, Goblin Wars were not exactly exciting. Maybe to Goblins themselves, of course.
The brunette Slytherin dotted the last sentence in her essay and sat back to admire her work. Correcting her posture, she felt the satisfying pop of a few vertebrae relieving themselves. She was mentally tallying the schoolwork she had to complete text when she heard the muted thump of a book losing it's place on the shelf and slapping the ground. Standing to reach for the book, Davina plucked it from the ground and scanned the shelves to find its home. Instead, she spotted a familiar feline licking its paw. Rolling her eyes, she shooed Phoebus away to place the book back. "Cats are usually jerks anyway, but now you're just giving them a bad name," she accused her classmate. Turning back to her desk, Davina vowed to try her best to not let him irritate her. He was fine in small doses, but it irked her that he had already figured out what was taking her months to research.

He didn't realize it was Davina who had been sitting near by as she'd turned and picked up the book, he stood up hissed and jumped from the shelf he had laid on as she shooed him away. Barely making the next bookshelf he dug his claws into the old wood and pulled himself up during the process accidentally knocking another book off the shelf and sending it crashing down to the ground. He looked down at it realizing that he'd only gone higher. It surprised him how high it was as in his human form he'd easily be able to reach for the books on this shelf.
Phoebus had always thought Davina to be a pretty girl and he couldn't help but realize she'd been studying History of Magic, which so happened to be one of his favourite classes. He went to meow but nothing came out but a squeak pacing back and forth on the shelf he was stuck on. H wasn't actually stuck though he was afraid to jump down and it wouldn't be such a smart idea to go back to his normal body on a shelf barely tall enough to fit one of the big books on it.

Phoebus was suddenly on a higher tier, pacing back and forth while Davina placed the first book back in its place. She ignored the the second book because now she was going to make him put it back; she wasn't falling for that again. "What are you doing? You're making a freaking mess. You should be doing this in Gryffindor Tower or something." She didn't particularly dislike all Gryffindors as many thought she should, but she wasn't going to send in back to Slytherin.
Putting her hands on her hips, Davina raised an expectant eyebrow at her Animagus schoolmate. "What is wrong with you? Just get down already," she insisted, not realizing his anxiety. Pheobus was an interesting guy, but he sometimes had that streak of stubbornness that was not appealing whatsoever. Of course, no one compared to Victor in that department, but still.

James sat against a wall reading his defense against the dark arts book as he searched for a book that could help him learn the Body binding spell. He skimmed through finding the name of the book as he stood up and walked to the shelf with a cat on it as his phoenix Helios followed behind him hopping. He saw the girl from Slytherin, no one he knew, but he's seen her in one of his classes. "hey aren't you in my potions class?"He asked curious.
He shrugged looking at the cat. "I think it's stuck" He mumbled to Helios his nodded his head making a weird crowing noise. "Hmph" He chuckled as if the bird said something funny. He looked at the cat then shrugged. "I'm sure as hell not going up there,"

Post by Caoimhe Uisce on Apr 29, 2016 11:53:51 GMT -5
Caoimhe pushed the book cart through one of the library’s many towering rows of shelves, her head tilted sideways as she examined the plethora of multi-coloured spines in front of her. A small pair of round reading glasses were perched on the end of her nose, threatening to tumble from her face should she tilt her head too far to one side, and her odd amethyst eyes flickered from the slip of paper in her hand to the books on the shelves and back again. A slight frown began to creep into her brow as she continued down the line; there was a rather pretty Hufflepuff girl waiting at the front desk for Caoimhe to find a selection of books for her and she’d found them all save one, but it would seem that Magical Water Plants of Ireland and Scotland by Siobhan O’Sullivan simply did not want to be found.
From the other side of the shelf came the unmistakable sound of a book making prompt contact with the floor, followed by another shortly after. That was odd; surely the students kept better care of her books than this?
“If you will be excusing me,” she began, abandoning her cart and rounding the corner, “but if you would be so kind as to treat the books with more kindness, I would--Oh a kitty! Hello little kitty!”
Responsibilities as protector of the books completely forgotten, Caoimhe stretched on her tip toes to stroke the cat, but she was far too short and the cat far too high on the shelf for her to come even remotely close to him.
“I am not minding that you are up there as long as you are being careful of the books. Are we agreeing, little kitty?”

As always, there was never a moment alone in the Great Library. Nothing was sacred anymore. James came in with his stupid bird (it really wasn't stupid, Davina was just jealous) and refused to go up and help Pheobus. Well then why was he even here?
Soon enough, Caoimhe was in the isle with them, trying to coax Pheobus from his spot. Davina didn't know how she even got in this situation. She tried to give her Housemate a meaningful look, but couldn't say anything. The Slytherin didn't know who he had told of his abilities, and it wasn't her place. She didn't know if he had the school's protection, or if he was even a registered animagus. Davina was a lot of things, but there was enough of a Slytherin code that wouldn't let her turn her own classmate in. Crossing her arms and just staring, she gave Caoimhe an encouraging grin. "I think he likes you, Caoimhe," she told her with a little shrug. "Maybe he wants to you keep him." Just because she wasn't turning Pheobus in, didn't mean Davina couldn't have a little fun. It wasn't his fault that she was secretly working to be an animagus herself. In that same vein, it wasn't his fault that Davina was irrationally jealous.
