Who said Slytherins didn't get along with everyone? That is just... counter intuitive. Without friends, you're only limiting the number of people and weaknesses you can use to your advantage.  Anyway, this is Davina Jade- muggleborn Slytherin and exhaustive academic and perfectionist. Learning she was a witch kicked her ambition into high gear and she hasn't stopped since. She has a deep appreciation and love for all things magical, and feels like an outsider when she has to go home for the summer holiday. Very much like many Slytherins, Davina is resourceful and smart, which is useful when she wants to get her way. As the oldest of two siblings, Davina is naturally protective of those she cares about. It translates into varying degrees of loyalty, compassion and love.  Davina is looking besties, academic rivals, regular rivals and anything else!  Meet Selina Roy- muggle movie enthusiast and Hogwarts Potions Mistress. Alumnus of Ravenclaw House, Selina was well known student among her classmates, known for her wide variety of friends and adventurous nature. She has a short temper and impatient with things she believes should be simple, but has managed to keep herself in check for her students. Unless in the case of something serious, The brunette usually brushes things off in a while. Friends are easy to make, though not so easy to keep. Selina doesn't enjoy small talk and it takes her a while open up to anyone, so bridging that gap can be difficult at times. As of 18 month ago, Selina is single since her divorce was finalized. It isn't something she bothers hiding, but not necessarily her favorite conversation topic. |

Hi!
I have a couple of characters that I'd love to plot with you. Maybe for starters, it could be Liam. He's slightly awkward, talks too fast and a bit on a dreamer side. He hails from a long line of Pureblood family and as such a lot was expected of him. Still he tried to be nice to people. He's in his fourth year and a Slytherin.
There's also Annabelle, the do-gooder who can't really lie or else she would feel so guilty she'd start to feel itchy all over. She's a decent student, nothing spectacular. Most people either like her or not at all. Well, majority would lean on tolerating her. She's a fifth year Hufflepuff and a half-blood.
Lastly, there's Colin and if the plot you still want to run with Olive is still in play, we can plot a few things about Colin and Davina.

Hey! For Liam Pond: Davina is still a little jealous of anyone who grew up in a magical family. She loves hers, of course, but she sometimes feels she's at a disadvantage (especially in the muggle summers with zero magic), and that is just... unacceptable. I'm guessing when they first met, her impression of him was someone that wasn't taking his advantage seriously, and it's kind of irritating. Does that make sense for him? Not sure, but let me know. For Annabelle McDonald: I think it would be cool that Davina's first Hogwarts Express ride would be with Annabelle. At 11 years old Davina would have been like omgomg I'm a witch! She would have been immediately fascinated with Annabelle who is already familiar with magic and grew up with it. It kind of works that Annabelle feels uncomfortable lying; Davina would find it interesting but try her best not to take advantage of it, and they would be unlikely but definitely entertaining friends. They are still friends all these years later; it can be up to you how close they are. For Colin Montgomery: I like the idea of torturing Olive's feelings but I think Davina and Colin would actually be good friends as well. They both like Transfiguration and Davina is trying to figure out how to be an Animagus, so you're definitely invited on that action. Also they have the muggleborn thing in common so it's possible they can wallow in self pity during the summers when they have to hang out with muggles all the time. |

I'm not sure...
Batty is a bit of a mess. She gets sick easily, faints, etc. She's a pretty weak person. Shes also one year older and is a pureblood. I feel like theyd probably not get along but maybe Davina would pity her? D:

I think Batty Riggs would bring out Davina's protective side. She wouldn't exactly love being around her when she is always sickly, falling and generally being a mess, but Davina wouldn't fault her for it and wouldn't let give anyone else give her a hard time. Davina would be frustrated and just completely at a loss at how someone could possibly exist in such a state, and would have a weird, almost-friendly interest in her. 30% borderline pity, 50% academic curiosity/protectiveness, 10% entertainment, 10% Slytherins secretly love Hufflepuffs my Arithmancy is rusty but that sounds about right |

I feel like these two could be good friends, they're both smart and can bond over the fact that they're muggleborn. And while Marian isn't that invested in the academic side of things, her curiosity when it comes to the magical world is boundless. She'd also be pretty protective over Davina if they're friends, and may even dig up some blackmail material on anyone who would give Davina a hard time (especially purebloods who would look down on her because of her blood.)

Hi there! So I think Cecelia would look up to Selina, they are both ravenclaw alumni who gone on to be professors, but Cece is very new to it all so I think she would try to get pointers from Selina which I'm not sure if she would find that irritating hehe as Cecelia would be like "Selina! Can I just ask a question...say a student accidentally breaks something..." and many questions similar Cece is a bit of a perfectionist so she would try her best to cover all sides to her teaching and would probably see Selina as a good person to go to for advice. Maybe at first Cece could annoy Selina as she's quite impatient but eventually, if you think possible, they sort of become friends? that or respect from Cece and annoyance from Selina ;D Let me know what you think! |

Marian Spencer I'm sorry I didn't see this, but it aligns well with what we had discussed in your own plotter. Please come back! We have shenanigans to be had! <3 Cecelia Reinhardt, that sounds great actually! It would make sense for Selina to be frustrated with a very talkative coworker that she HAS to be nice to. She will try her bet to guide her as a former Ravenclaw and current peer, but she will be struggling with keeping her cool. It would also be natural for them to associate a lot since Selina would like to have as many fresh ingredients as possible, so she would be in the greenhouses a lot.

Davina JadeI can see Lachlan being both fascinated and intimidated by her. He was brought up mostly muggle, so maybe they'd be able to hang out and talk about the differences between home & hogwarts? Selina RoyLachlan's gifted at potions, so I imagine he's either one of her favourite students (for being so good) or least favourite (for illegally brewing things outside of class hours).

YES. Davina does need someone to mope with over the summer when she can't do magic. She stresses out and gets restless so maybe they can do damage together in the summer holiday. ALSO, Davina does go to the ballet, which I see Lachlan is a fan of. She used to dance but she was never very good. However, it is a stress coping mechanism during muggle summers.
As for Selina, she technically can't choose favorites but she will ALWAYS appreciate any student that doesn't make her job harder. She already has her hands full with a bunch of crazy Gryffindors. Given the right circumstances, she MIGHT have your back if she can explain it away for the sake of research |

Hullo! Figured I'd post here  Anyway, starting with Davina Jade Annabelle McDonald She and Davina are the same age, they could've bumped around each other and crossed path over the years. Anna is a pretty simplistic girl, always seems to be happy with life. She's a half-blood - her mum is the witch in the family and her Mama (yeah...she has two mums) is a muggle, the same with her biological father. She generally gets along with people, so... I can see her be okay with Davina. As long as Davina is not in the weird Dale scale *shudders* Colin Montgomery Dunno what plot you have with Olive Greene , but I think Colin could be a friend? He is a year younger and if Davina plays Quidditch, they could've crossed path? As for Selina Roy Poppy Paxton is the school nurse and she'll be twenty-two. She's definitely one of the youngest of the staff and pretty much have this no-nonsense attitude. Perhaps they could get along as a member of the staff? Henry James is the Charms Professor and Ravenclaw HoH (I should really start posting my lesson, but laptop have been a arse) and he is twenty-six. He can be charming, but usually rather awkward with all his long limbs flailing about. He's dedicated to his work and loves his job. Not the type to talk a lot, but if you need a friend and a listener, he can be pretty good at that. He's an only child, so he's used to solitude. Maybe he and Selina can be friends or at the very least cordial towards each other? |
