REN KIM

The Ren now is much different than the Ren from his fourth year, though tidbits still reside. He matured, grew responsible and honest. He became a proper student, stopped beating the crap out of his peers, and excelled in sports. Ren is sarcastic, distant, and quiet, though he really wishes he wasn't. He comes off as humorless, when he really does enjoy a good joke. He comes off as strict, when he doesn't intend to police other people. In essence, Ren is the stoic leader type with a violent past. But he'll still fight you, if you mess with him enough, and he's not one to accept losing. But this stoic leader is actually a bit of an awkward baby on the inside, it just takes a lot for him to show that side. He can be found drinking on the pitch during what little off time he has, and he accepts all the company he can get.
GOOD TERMS ;
Ren isn't hard to befriend, but most people will likely be put off by how strange or seemingly cold he is. He doesn't laugh at jokes, even when he thinks they're funny, and is more often than not devoting his attention to schoolwork or personal research. But Ren is a very lonely person, and despite his studying and quiet nature, he will sit himself in the same room as people he likes. He doesn't need to be noticed to enjoy company. He welcomes distractions, despite that, and if someone pushes him enough to go have fun, he'll do it. The best way to get him out and about is to offer free alcohol.
He probably has friends back from when he was rambunctious and violent. Some probably carried over, y'knoooow. So there's that.

Okay but like. Ren is the worst lover ever and doesn't know what he's doing with himself half the time. There's at least a dozen girls he has made out with and then didn't pursue, because he assumes no one is interested in him. He's also slept with a good amount of girls, though he was likely drunk, so his memories are hazy. It's best to note that he drinks to lower his anxiety about intimacy, so he would be welcoming people into his lap if they really wanted to. He's pretty relaxed about if you catch him in the right mood. I don't see romances working out? If only because he hates himself and would abruptly break up with them after convincing himself it was for the best.

Back in the day, when Ren was a ~bad boy~, he had a girl who he slung his arm around and fawned over. Think power couple, where he'd be throwing insults and fists and she'd be there, lookin' cute and possibly egging him on or even helping him out. For whatever reason, they broke up. It could be because she was sick of his shit, because he changed his sixth year, or because he has huge commitment issues. Take your pick!!! It's super open!!! I will say that, no matter what, this girl would have had to been supporting him despite the fact that he was a jerkass. Change of heart is fine, Hawt Queen Bee personality is a preference but not necessary.
THE BOY AT THE PARTY | 6th/7th year boy
Ren is actually supposed to be bicurious, but literally does not think about it, nor does he ever really pursue it, so I didn't really care to delve into it. He's a sucker for ladies, so. However, there is ONE boy that he totally hooked up with. How far it went is up to whoever wants this plot, but do note that Ren's a pitcher, in baseball and otherwise. (~: But, more importantly, he wouldn't have much memory of this, as he was veeery drunk, and literally would not change disposition around this guy, soooo, liiiike.

So, Ren is supposed to have a following. Namely of girls, but w/e it doesn't really matter, anyone can be a part of the club. Anyone who finds the guy dreamy fits in, basically. Whether or not the club is a tangible thing, idk & idc, but y'kno. He is completely oblivious to it, and I don't see him noticing people hanging around him at all.

It's easy to provoke Ren into a fight, despite how hard he tries to keep his cool. I see him just not getting along with a lot of people, if only because they don't like him and therefore he doesn't like them. People he'd openly patronize are purists and misogynists, along with hypermasculine bros who act better than everyone. He's also just not fond of anyone who polices other people or acts better than their peers. There's likely people from his past that he's wronged, and he mostly avoids speaking to them. For the most part, he sits there and glares and waits for everything to die down. But, being a boxer and well trained in dueling, he's kind of a force to be reckoned with and he'll very well Ruin a Dude if need be.

Ren practically raised his brother ever since he joined their mother's household. Prior to Jasper moving in, Ren traveled a lot with their uncle and settled down for the sake of helping Jasper have a normal life. He's very older brothery with Jasper, though he trusts his take on things. He knows the kid isn't up to any good, but wants him to learn from his own mistakes. While Jasper would never guess it, Ren does everything in his power to make his life easier, including weekend and summer jobs and bending his schedule to conform to his brother's. Also, he'll gut a fool who bad mouths Jasper. But, they're distant nonetheless, and he accepts that as long as Jasper is happy.
