🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Setting: Magical shifting sunflower maze during sunset. As the game moves forward the rp will become evening.
Rules: No magic with the exception of Lumos / Nox. If other spells are detected, the offender is dispelled by the maze.
All characters roll 2 dice. Lowest number is the first seeker. After all participating characters have rolled, the game officially begins. I will announce when it starts.
Seeker must roll a perception roll each turn. (1 die) Like this: sNmGoo|4 1 extremely poor and utterly oblivious. no chance of success. you could miss them if they were right under your nose. 2-3 unlikely to succeed unless the location roll falls within 10 range plus or minus of the hiders roll. 4-5 success if a location roll falls within 25 range of the hiders roll. 6 very likely to succeed if a location roll falls within 40 range of the hiders roll.
Seeker must also roll a location roll (2 dice). This determines the distance from the hiders. Like this: Numbers are read exactly how they appear. IE, you roll a 1 and a 5, you've rolled a 15.
Once the Seekers turn has ended, Hiders will roll 2 dice for their location roll. If you are found, then you switch to the seeker side your next turn.

[ wearing] The entrance to the flower maze towered over Hannah's head, which, in retrospect, wasn't really that great of a feat considering her petite but surprisingly sturdy build that stood planted with her heels dug in the dirt and her palms planted firmly upon her hips as she waited for each of the participants to line up at an entrance. It was just her luck that she would draw the number that automatically disqualified her from any chance of winning, so understandably Hannah's mood was just a little bit alkaline. It was no secret the russet teen enjoyed competition, but only under the very specific circumstances where she could melt some serious face. As she watched her classmates inch tentatively she let out a throaty sigh, tossing a wad of tangled red hair behind her shoulder and blinking up towards the still immaculate gradient sky, regretting her decision to supersede lunch with this silly competition. And yet... she couldn't walk away despite the frivolity and inequity of the entire ordeal. She had to teach these fuckers that no one put a Hunt in the corner and got away with it without bloodshed. As spectators began filling up the stands that surrounded the maze she let her limbs drop to her sides and kneeled down into a bracing lunge, back straight and arched forward, dark eyes narrowing into two severe slits. The shriek of a whistle sounded, and the hiders were quickly swallowed by the maze. Thirty seconds later, another shrill call was sent out into the air and the maze opened up for Hannah, who launched herself from the ground and darted in after the others. The festival itself was extremely satisfying for Davina. She sometimes had a difficult time being inside the castle behind tons of bland stone that made up its structure. Entering Hogsmeade with its burst of color and energy had been a breath of fresh air the Slytherin didn’t know she was waiting for. It wasn’t like her to join large group activities, even in game, but Jasper had joined. And she couldn’t really complain too much about Noel anymore.
Mumbling some possible strategy stuff to her best friend while they waited for the game to start, she wasn’t sure how serious anyone else was taking it, but who liked losing? Eventually, the game was started and Davina parted ways with Jasper with a smirk, illuminated the tip of her wand and made the first left turn she encountered. She made a right turn and the tried to stay straight for as long as she could before making one more left and finding a corner. Memorizing the distance between the two openings into the maze nearby, she cut the light and crouched just as the second whistle sounded.

When the whistle sounded, Lachlan darted into the maze, his hand immediately trailing along the wall. There was a trick to not getting lost in mazes... one that probably wouldn't work in this maze, since this maze was probably enchanted. He let his hand drop.
Oh well, it didn't matter. This was just a game and he had no expectations of actually winning. He'd only joined up because it sounded fun. And let's face it, that was how Lachlan lived most of his life. Believe it or not, his life was 60% fun, and only 40% angsting over Hufflepuffs.

Competitve as always, Dale couldn't help but pass up the chance to prove victor to all of Hogsmeade, and win the undying admiration and praise throughout the crowd, especially Headmaster Murphy who was in charge of honoring the victor with the utmost special prize. A magical hat that told the world 'yeah bitches, BOW DOWN TO MEEE'
AHem.. okay maybe it didn't say that. But if it did it'd be pretty sweet. None-the-less, his strategy for the day was to win, and seeing that most of the student population had the inclination to avoid him at all cost, he felt as though he were off to a good enough start. Dale carefully waded through the maze trying to get as far as he could from the begining, he wasn't sure where everyone else was located but surely 'staying put' wasn't exactly the most genius idea. Besides, he was feeling a bit restless and needed something to do, maybe he might find someone along the way.
