As Minister of Magic, Copernica has a lot of stuff that needs to be done and not a lot of time to do it. She would be in need of an assistant who can send out owls, Floo to and from important meetings, and possibly keep Copernica from trampling someone. You probably don't even need to make a new character, it can be a side job or an internship. Yeah, pretty sure Copernica won't pay you for this.
