Plot with Copernica

Hey! So I'm Critter! Finally have a minute between holiday busyness to toss a few characters at you and see if they stick. I'm gonna offer up 3 of my babes for some plotting fun.

Mercedes de la Cruz is my only adult character currently. She is the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts. She's a native to Mexico so it's unlikely she knew your centaur babe growing up. She's not fond of muggles (they burned her families home resulting in the death of a few family members) but she takes no issue with magical beasts of the hooved variety. She's a little bit of a cranky hermit so she doesn't wander out often, but I think maybe she could have received a summons for a few of the magical artifacts or even her practices? She does dabble in blood magic and might not be entirely aware of the legalities of UK ministry so I think I could figure out a reason to have her hanging around the ministry at least a day or two.

Noel Beckett is currently a student, but will soon be joining the ministry under an apprenticeship once the school year is over. However currently, he's taking quite a bit of issue with the idea because he's an unregistered werewolf and it's in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Not only that, but he's a brand new baby werewolf that isn't quite accustomed to the lifestyle. It's very much within his interests to keep this a secret so I'm sure he'll run into the Minister from time to time.

Daniyah Ohme is currently in her 5th year, coming into her 6th. She's a ravenclaw with wistful aspirations to be Minister For Magic one day. Being that she's extremely proactive in getting what she wants, I think she's likely to strike up an owl correspondence with Copernica. Even if the letters were unanswered she'd likely continue to send them in hopes of getting the Ministers attention.

Let me know your thoughts and or ideas! I'm game for anything!

Okay so right off the bat, Copernica would obvs be Murphys enemy right from the start, I mean lets face it she pracctically stole the job right out from under him (or so he sees it) so theres definitely some bad blood there. But shes the Minister (or Ministress) so its not like it'd be acceptable for him to throw scorned words of hatred, or like him at all to be so forward (he's a refined man afterall.) So I see them as like 'I hate your guts but lets go get some tea' type of relationship. Whether Copernica knows or not is up to her but I would think at least she'd get the faintest of feelings from the vibes.

I think it would be interesting if before all this they had some sort of relationship. I dont really mean like lovers (because lets face it, there is noone Murphy loves more than himself) but perhaps in the past he kind of took to Copernica seeing that shes the random centaur in a building surrounded by wizards, if not but to make him look good like 'oh look at me helping the poor horse girl' . But I think part of his reasoning behind helping her at the start would be because he himself is only half-wizard, although nobody knows about it he'd still feel some sort of sympathy toward somebody whose so different. But of course all of that would have changed the moment she got the job as Minister.

Just an idea

The only other character I can see of mine having some sort of relationship would be Batty Riggs. Whose a bit of a paranoid mess. I can see her sending letters about suspicions of the Headmaster being a vampire or a human blood bank going on in the basement or unlawful experimentation going on.. and of course aliens and the like. Naturally she wouldn't sign via her actual name, but the identical handwriting and tone of voice might be enough for copernica to realize that its the same person. It would be interesting if because of these letters she used it as an excuse tovisit every so often just to check up on the school.
